Glen Ellen Country Club is the perfect site to hold all of your golfing activities. We can accommodate as many as 288 golfers per day. Our golf professional are experience and dedicated to handling the details, from the initial set-up through the scoring of your event. After reviewing the following information, please call Eileen Aviza at 508.376.2978 Ext. 21 if you have any questions.
Golfer Eligibility: Golf course use is restricted to experienced golfers with clubs. Beginners are not allowed. The golf course is utilized by 200 to 300 golfers daily and it would be an inappropriate place for someone who is unfamiliar with golf course etiquette and lacks playing experience. Please convey this information when soliciting all potential participants in the tournament. The course has been rated for play in 3:54 by the USGA and the rangers will maintain a brisk pace of play. This pace will be difficult to maintain for novice golfers and may require some groups to skip holes in order to keep pace with the field. Availability: The course is available for group play on a daily basis. All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.
Rates: Rates include greens fees, cart fee, tournament set-up, scoring and $5.00 in Pro Shop prize money.
Monday - Thursday $63.00 per player
Friday - Sunday $76.00 per player
How do I secure a date? To reserve a date, we require a non-refundable deposit of $800.00 for golf only, or a total of $1,000.00 to reserve both golf and food and beverage service. Upon receipt of your deposit and signed contract, we will begin the planning process. (There is no such thing as a reservation without an advance deposit.) Your final guest count and final list of players is required 14 days in advance of your function, in multiples of four. This is the minimum count and cannot be reduced, regardless of how many of your guests actually attend the event. The final payment for golf and food and beverage is required seven days before your scheduled outing date. What about a rain date? As long as the course is playable and carts are allowed, the event will proceed as scheduled. If the course is deemed unplayable, you will have the opportunity to reschedule at a mutually convenient date. What about special contest holes? We are happy to set-up contest holes for your tournament. The most popular contests include: Longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. What is a scramble tournament? 1. All players tee off their own ball. 2. Captain selects the best shot. 3. All players play each shot, each hole from the best location (within three feet). 4. On the putting green, each player putts from best location. Upon completion of the round what should the players do? Players should turn their scorecards in to the Pro Shop after their last hole of play. Most outings include a reception, so players normally proceed to their pre-assigned function room. How long is the anticipated round? Golf is a four-hour game. We recognize typical golf outings include a number of handicap players and therefore schedule outings based on a four and one half-hour round. It is imperative that your players arrive on time and maintain an adequate speed of play; as there may be a second event due to begin approximately four and one half-hours after your players are scheduled to tee off. This is another reason we use a scramble format for all golf events. What happens if I cancel my event? Deposits are non-refundable. If a cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the scheduled event, a cancellation charge of 100% of the total projected bill will be due. What are the rules of the course? Beginners are not allowed. Each player must have clubs. Proper golf attire is required. Players must wear collared shirts, non-metal spikes, and slacks or Bermuda shorts. Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, cut-offs, gym shorts, bathing suits and blue jeans are not permitted. No alcoholic beverages or spectators are allowed on the course. Only beverage coolers provided by Glen Ellen Country Club will be allowed on the course. Non metal spikes are required. These rules have been set based on years of experience in helping a diversity of groups enjoy our course. |
